Once Again

Book One

I am currently working on a contemporary romance series that takes place in Northern California. The series will include four novels. Each will be a companion but can ultimately stand alone. We follow the ups and downs of one family and their struggles to have the happily ever after they either always wanted or never imagined.

Ashton James was a firm believer in love and the strength of it. When she met struggling musician Devon Parker on New Year's Eve, he strengthened her own belief. She knew that there would never be anything to tear them apart. Only, more than five years later, we learn just that had happened. She walked away from him, knowing that if she didn't, he'd lose everything he had worked his whole life for.

She still doesn't know if she made the right decision all those years ago. With Devon and his band having reached the level of success she knew they always would, she can't help feeling suffocated by conflicting regret and assurance. Every time she hears one of his songs, or sees his face after a moment of weak handed Googling, she's reminded of all that she's sacrificed, and the hurt she's caused. With Devon coming back to her home town, and both being fresh off a break-up, Ashton believes that it's time to confront her past. With her brothers and best friend's support, she's ready to tell Devon why she pushed him away all those years ago.

That is until the past and the very reason why she left him in the first place threaten everything once again.

In Character

The beautiful Napa Valley. Yes, growing up in the wine country was not particuarly appreciated until after I came home from college. I went to school in the heart of the valley, grew up in the armpit, and have never fully apreicated the vast oportunites that my hometown has to offer. Over the course of the next four campanion books in my series, my characters wil have done more in California's Wine Country than I ever have. That just doesn't seem right. So here, in this section on my website, I have decided to do all the things that the characters do in the heart of the valley and in the city by the bay. Whether I've already been there and done it, I've decided to experience it again, and to document it here for all of you! So, stay tuned!

In The Press

In addition, this is where you will be able to find short scenes in the heroes and secondary characters' POV that I can't resist sharing with readers.

About

For as long back as I can remember, I've written love stories in my head. In sixth grade I would lay in bed and write out how my crush would fall in love with me over the Valentine's Day sugar cookies that I planned to make for our class party. Unfortunately, in reality, I added garlic powder thinking it would add more flavor. Needless to say, he did not confess his unyielding love.

Alas, my heart has since moved on, I have learned that garlic and cookies don't mix, and have found the courage to write the love stories that continue to grow and develop more and more each year.

When I'm not writing, I am loving life with my amazingly supportive husband, two boys, and the rest of my extended family.

Extras

Ashton's Story

Brandi's Story

Regret and sacrifice are two things Ashton knows well. More than anything though, Ashton knows that she still loves her ex from three years ago, and doubts she will ever stop or that he'll ever forgive her.

Brandi has only ever loved one man, and knows with everything that she has that she will never be able to love anyone as much as she does him. Even if he never loves her back.

Jackie's Story

Amy's Story

Jackie's heart has been broken by people who should honestly know better. Herself included. Trust is not something she can easily give, and when it comes down to it, she has no idea if she'll be able to let go.

Amy has seen first hand how a broken heart can tear not only a person, but an entire family into obsolescence. Since the age of eleven, she's known that love is something she will never have any part of.
